A few days ago the grade twos went to the Marine Discovery Centre. At the Marine Discovery Centre there is a lot of interesting things and animals, some animals are live and some are dead.
My favourite thing at the marine discovery centre my favourite thing was the touch tank, in the touch tank there is some live things and some shells and rocks for the living things to live on and in. my favourite thing in while I was holding sea stars is that I got to feel their hearts beat. My second favourite thing in the touch tank was holding all of the hermit crabs, I liked seeing one of them move fast.

There was lots and lots of interesting things at the Marine Discovery Centre. There was a big fake sea turtle in the middle of a room to show how big real sea turtles can in real lfe grow up to.

This is a post about what I like to do at school.
At school I like to do lots of things
Pretty much every morning at school I love doing independent reading. I love doing it because I love to read a lot as well. I normally like to read a lot of horse books now, because I really love horses.
Another thing I love to do in the mornings is the literacy block, I like going on the ipod in the literacy block, I also like going on the ipad and net books, I like going on the computer and leaving comments on blogs and I like doing work sheets. So that is pretty much every thing in the literacy block.
At school on Tuesdays I like doing P.E, Show and Tell and Library. On Wednesdays in term one and two I used to love doing art, but now we don’t do it anymore. I also used to love doing music on Tuesdays in term one and two.
Now I like to do free time, where you can read (for fun and if you didn’t read four times), you can do work sheets and art and play games.

For the last two weeks I didn’t write a blog post because I was too busy enjoying my holidays!
During my school holidays I went to the Melbourne Show, Movies, Melbourne Planetarium and a Calisthenics competition.
At the Calisthenics competition our team (Eastside) came second in the whole comp. Two of the teams came first as a draw. It was the first time Eastside had come close to first this year!
On the way to and back from the Calisthenics competition I counted horses so I stayed awake. On the way there I counted eighteen, and on the way back I counted three. The day before the comp I had counted 31 horses, so all together I had counted 53.
After the competition my mum and I went to my Poppy’s house to see him and Jacie. At Poppy and Jacie’s house I had some Oreos and a hot Milo.
At Poppy and Jacie’s house they have three dogs, Bob (my old dog that we found), Harry and Mini.
On the holidays I also went to the movies with my mum to see Red Dog, it is actually a true story I found out, Red Dog is a little bit sad. I also went to the movies to see Monte Carlo with my mum, Sarah (Claudia’s mum) and obviously Claudia. The movie I liked the most was Red Dog, because it was a bit funny in some parts, and sad in others.
And we went to the Melbourne Planetarium, it was fun hearing and watching the stars.
At the Melbourne Show I went on two pony rides, the ponies I rode were Spirit and Puncho. I liked riding Spirit the most for some reason.

Hi, I’m back again and this time I am going to tell you what I want to be when I grow up. I have been thinking about writing this post before I even started to write Skyping with Jenni.
When I grow up I want to work with animals, so I might be a vet, or an animal scientist, or work with horses. I want to work with horses because they are one of my favourite animals. I want to be a vet so I can help animals live, and I want to be an animal scientist so I can learn more about animals.
My two favourite animals are a frog and a horse. I like frogs because their eyes are really deep black. I used to have three horses when I lived in Bannockburn, but we had to put Mindi down because she tried to jump the wire fence but her leg got caught in it.

Today (15-9-11) 2KM and 2KJ skyped with Jenni, Jenni is a scientist who goes out looking for dinosaur bones and fossils. She works at the National Dinosaur Museum.
Today when we skyped with Jenni I learnt some interesting facts about dinosaurs and their fossils. I learnt that the pterosaurs were a group of flying dinosaurs, I learnt that the Tyrannosaurus Rex actually had some feathers on its body.
We got to ask some questions about dinosaurs and I got to ask my first question in a skype this year. I asked how do you put a dinosaur skeleton together? and she said “it’s exactly like putting a human skeleton together.
I had lots of fun skyping today!

On Saturday the 20th of August was my first Calisthenics Competition this year! There is three competitions in one year.
At the competitions last year I really wanted to get a calisthenics bear, the name for the calisthenics bear is
Cali Bear is a white, fluffy bear. Theresa is one of my calisthenics teachers and she brought it to my calisthenics class to give to me.
We practise each week on Mondays, during these practises we stretch, we warm up, we practise doing the splits, handstands, backwards walkovers and other things we do in the dances. We do six routines, they are called March, Rods, Clubs, Exercising, Skirts and Song. My favourite routine to do is exercise, the costume for exercise is a mouse!

This term the grade two’s at my school are all learning about dinosaurs and science. My favourite dinosaur is the seismosaurus.
I like to learn about dinosaurs and the and the different periods in the timeline. I have also seen many dinosaur movies, my favourite one has been Jurassic Park one.
Scientists do not know why dinosaurs are extinct, but they have a few ideas. I believe that a meteor hit the Earth and all of the dinosaurs died out.

We have three pets at my house. We have a dog named Dusty, she is a Border Collie. We have two black and white cats, their names are Panda and Ira.
Dusty is the odd one out of her brothers and sisters, they were all black and white when she is white. She is very happy, energetic and loves to go for walks and runs.
Ira is a fluffy long haired cat and Panda is a smooth short haired cat. Panda sometimes comes into my bedroom and sleeps with me. Ira likes to climb all over us when we are sitting on the couch and give us big cuddles and happy claws.
I love my animals so very much!

This is a post about my friend Ella, Ella is a friend from school and I am in her class.
My other friends from school not including Haille are Tilly, Jordi, Lilly, Ava, Millie, Mia, Hannah and Amily. My teachers at school are Miss Jordan and Mrs Morris, Miss Jordan is mine and Haille’s main teacher.
At school I sometimes play soccer with Haille’s soccer ball and of corse play with her when I do play soccer.
I have five people in my family, those people are my mum Leesa, my dad, my big brother Mitchell, my little brother and I.

Yesterday it was the first day of term three and we have swimming lessons for the first two weeks of school in term three! There’s a girl who is going to come to my class at school every Tuesday, her name is Marly.
Swimming: The people in my swimming group from my class at school are Hannah, Riley and Paris. In my swimming group there are five people and one teacher. I love to swim!
School: At school the people who don’t do swimming in 2KM and 2KJ made a poster on the internet using a website called Glogster. I would like to make a poster on Glogster because I saw some of the posters that other peoples ones, I thought looked really good.
